Method Callan 〈CERTIFIED — 2025〉
Play the audio. The speaker asks a question. Pause the audio. Answer in a full sentence. Then play the audio again to check.
Now I never forget "went." In the Callan Method, you do not write during the lesson. You only speak. Why? Because when you write, you think slowly. You translate in your head. But when you speak fast, you stop translating. You start thinking in English.
The teacher corrects mistakes immediately. Then the student repeats the correct sentence. This happens many times. The method has four important stages. I will explain each stage with examples. Stage 1: Question and Answer In this stage, the teacher asks many questions. The questions are easy at first, then difficult. The student must answer in a full sentence. method callan
Example from my class: "Do you like coffee?" Me: "Yes, I like coffee." Teacher: "Do you like tea?" Me: "Yes, I like tea." Teacher: "Do you like coffee or tea more?" Me: "I like coffee more than tea."
If I make a mistake, the teacher corrects me. Then I repeat the correct sentence five times. This is the most important stage. The teacher asks the same question again after five minutes. Then again after ten minutes. Then again after one hour. Then again the next day. Play the audio
But it is not magic. You must practice every day. You must repeat. You must speak out loud. If you do these things, you will improve quickly.
